Experience with radical retropubic prostatectomy in the treatment of adenocarcinoma of the prostate at the Hospital San Juan de Dios

We herein report our group of 39 with prostate cancer who where treated with a radical prostatectomy in fifteen years at the Hospital San Juan de Dios. We report our complications finding as expected in a small series, a higher incidence of them, with no doubt related to a late diagnosis. We insist in the necessity of early detection program and the use of better modern surgical procedures to obtain better results.
