Abstract

Four cases of necrotizing fascitis are reported. This is a severe sinergistic infection, which involves skin and cellular sub-cutaneous tissue. It presents few initial manifestations, but it evolves rapidly, and it is of lethal course in 43-70% of the cases. a precocious diagnosis requires a strong suspicion and the treatment consist of early surgical intervention with generous debridement and broad spectrum of antibiotics.
