Cyclospora cayetanensis: Review and report of the first human case in Costa Rica

Oocysts of the parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis were found in a fecal sample of a five-year old child in Desamparados, San Jose, Costa Rica, which represents the first human case of ciclosporosis reported in this country. A review of the biology, epidemiology and Other aspects is presented.
