Abstract

A case of Eustachian valve mimickingan atrial myxomais presented in a man suspected of suffering pulmonaryembolism.

Eustachian valve is a remnant of the embryonic righthalf of the sinus venosus.

Embryologically, the Eustachian valve directs oxy-genated blood from the inferior vena cava into the systemiccirculation. Differential diagnosis with other intracardiacmasses isnecessary and includes myxoma, thrombus, and tumors.
