Three-in-one femoral block for transtonchanteric hip fracture surgery: safety and analgesia

Twelve three in onefemoral blockswere done forosteosynthesis with pin plate in transtrochanteric hip fracturein patients ASA III and ASA IV. It was used bupivacain0,25% and lidocain 2% to a 40 ml volume. Observedhemodynamic stability was excellent, thus analgesic duringthe procedure and recover. Supplementary analgesic wasminimal and the fail rate was less than 9%. Great hemodynamic stability, the simplicity of the procedureand the high efectiveness rate, made of the three in onefemoral block an excellent choice for patients ASA III andASA IV with transtrochanteric hip fracture that will needsurgery.
