We report the case of 36 years old female, with uterineand sigmoid colon perforation caused by a Tcu placed 14years previously. She was asymptomatic. The managementrequired an abdominal histerectomy and repair of the sig-moid colon, she also needed a temporary transverse colosto-my with final satisfactory outcome. Uterine perforation byintrauterine devices, is an infrequent complication, in 15%of the cases it is associated with perforation of other inter-nal organs, primarily the intestine.
