Abstract

We present the clinical case of a patient with dural sinus thrombosis who developed adult respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia with refractory hypoxemia. Because of her background condition it was not possible to use prone ventilation or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. We decided to manage with continuous chest compression, this proved to be a successful therapy.
