We report the case of a 3-year-old female who for severalmonths had unespecific digestive symptoms,weigth loss andiron deficiency anaemia. She suffered an acute abdominalpain episode associated with tenderness that required anexploratory laparotomy.A thrichobezoar was found in thestomach which was associated with a Rapunzel Syndrome.Rapunzel Syndrome consists in the formation of a hair- ballor trichobezoar that later develops a hairy tail that extends through the bowel. This produces an achordeon effect resultingin bowel necrosis.
