A case of a 15 year old boy with deep venous thrombosis after a mild trauma is described. Studies demostrated resistance to activated protein C. Family studies disclosed the same deficiency in several members ofhis family. Key words: Thrombosis, thrombophilia, hypercoagulable states, activated protein C resistance.
