Resumen

El síncope neurocardiogénico es uno de los llamados síncopes reflejos. Es un trastorno muy frecuente y su diagnóstico es relativamente fácil si se tiene en mente. Hasta hace algunos años,  muchos de estos síncopes se catalogaban como de causa desconocida. El uso de la prueba de inclinación ha permitido un estudio más completo de estos enfermos y por lo tanto un tratamiento más adecuado. En este artículo se hace una revisión de algunos conceptos generales de esta entidad, así como su fisiopatología, características clínicas de los pacientes, respuestas a la prueba de inclinación y tratamiento tanto farmacológico como no farmacológico.
